Ah yes, another poem I wrote of course. This one life cycle type poem, but goes full circle where Life's little dance did not, then again, that poem was written for a dying boy. This is one for those who have long to stay alive.

Why are zombie and vampire apocalypse movies so popular these days? There are some aspects to living in a post-apocalyptic that can be appealing to some.

A poem reflecting on life, now at an end. Initially started to comfort a teenager dying of cancer, but wasn't finished until a few days after his death-- my intent was to write a poem to comfort one in pain, but the only words that came to mind were of a life ending... which ended a few days after I had first put pen to paper for his sake.

There's a tradition of saying a long winded prayer for thanksgiving dinners... And the thought of such gratuitous gorging on this particular holiday (in the United States) made me think to write this. All in good fun, but like all of my poems, there is a message within.
